Kate Cowhig International Recruitment in partnership with its client are seeking a Cancer Lead Nurse (Assistant Executive Director of Nursing, Cancer Program) to become part of the National Cancer Strategy Team for a premier healthcare provider in Doha, Qatar. Established in 1979, the healthcare provider includes five hospitals and a comprehensive ambulance service. Its well-known hospitals serve as an integral part of the community.
Minimum Education:
• Degree in Nursing, Post-Graduate Diploma in relevant nursing specialty
• Further higher education or Masters, PhD
Preferred Experience:
• Eight years of nursing experience, preferably with cancer service delivery experience.
Minimum Experience:
• Five years of practical nursing experience within cancer field, experience of managing cancer services, developing new roles and track record of innovation and achievement
• Ability to work with diversity, navigate complex situations and advocate for patients and families.
• Excellent at communicating with patients and staff
• A 'Self starter' - the ability to work productively with minimal supervision and guidance
• Good leadership skills
• Good team worker but can also work autonomously, using own initiative
• Proven teaching and assessing skills.
• Evidence of applying current research to practice.
• Able to manage difficult situations effectively.
• Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate the ability to compile complex written information
Computer Skills:
• Literate in all the Microsoft office applications
