WARD SISTER/CHARGE NURSE
DAYCASE UNIT - BREAST/ONCOLOGY
CENTRAL LONDON
Kate Cowhig International Recruitment in partnership with it's client are seeking a Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.
A Ward Sister/ Charge Nurse is required to run a 12 bedded breast surgery and oncology ward. The ward will work closely with the adjacent Beast Unit Department.
General responsibilities:
Clinical Management - Leading the clinical management of the ward to include support and mentorship of junior staff, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
Operational Management - Leading the clinical management of a defined ward or department to include prioritisation of work, staff deployment, recruitment and the promotion of team and multidisciplinary.
Resource Management - effectively managing resources in all forms: staffing establishments, manpower planning and deployment of ward management budgets.
Education and Training - Keeping up with current developments and trends in clinical education needs, maintaining the competencies requirements, portraying a positive image and supporting the ward/ department team.
Ensuring Quality - Ensuring the highest quality of practice and care through effective monitoring of own and others clinical competence.
Requirements:
The suitable candidate will be a Registered Nurse with NMC registration.
Relevant Post Registration Qualification in Oncology or evidence of experience in an Oncology setting
Experience in the care of patients with breast cancer
Recent surgical experience
For this role it is essential that you can demonstrate effective clinical, organizational and communication skills. You must be able to demonstrate a passion within this field.
