THEATRE LEAD PRACTITIONER

Kate Cowhig International Recruitment in partnership with a Private London Healthcare Provider is seeking a Theatre Lead Practitioner for large Private Hospital in Central London
The Role:
Theatre Lead Practitioner to work with the senior management team, undertaking scub duties and also the coordinating role for the department in rotation with the senior members of the team. This position would suite a theatre practitioner who has been in a senior role for at least 3yrs, and sister or equivalent who is looking for a change. The person who will be invited for interviews will have to have competencies in the following specialities: Paediatrics, Gynaecology and Obstetrics. The candidate has to have management skills in working with other staff, excellent communication skills, and a professional attitude in dealing with Consultants, colleagues and outside agencies.
The responsibilities are going to be mainly: responsible for an area of work in the department ranging from Scrub, Anaesthetics, and Recovery. There will be a requirement to coordinate in the office for the day to day running of the department. Audits and clinical risk assessments will be part and parcel of this role including the management and updating of policies. Scrub duties and on- calls are an essentila part of the role.
Requirements:

· Recognised qualification in theatre practice or equivalent yrs of experience.
· This position is open to a Registered Nurse or ODP (Diploma).
· Ideally have (Advanced Scrub Practioner), a recognised specialist skill, i.e. we are looking to expand our maxo-facial surgery in children and this would be ideal if candidate has this experience.
· Other areas of expertise will be paediatrics ranging in all surgeries except cardiac and neurology.
· Evidence of having undertaken audits, and involvement in clinical government issues.
· Registered with a registration body such as the NMC/HPC.
· Belonging to a professional body such as AfPP. |
